Students to participate in global health survey

THE Health Promotion Centre is seeking parents’ cooperation in signing consent forms to allow their children to take part in the Global School Health Survey (GSHS).

The selected students are between the ages of 13 and 17 years old.

The survey will take around 40 minutes to complete where each student would have to answer questions on their health status, attitude, behaviour and awareness of various health problems faced by teens.

The information collected will be confidential, the HPC said in a statement.

The survey will run from March 10 until April 30.

The objective of the survey is to collect systematic information from students and school staff to support the school health programme and youth health policy on global level.

The signed consent forms should be returned to the respective schools as soon as possible to help ensure that the survey runs smoothly and achieve its objective.
