RBAF Chief at Defence Academy

COMMANDER of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Major General Dato Seri Pahlawan Mohd Tawih Abdullah paid a working visit to Defence Academy, Royal Brunei Armed Forces at Sungai Akar Camp yesterday.

The Ministry of Defence website said yesterday that it was his first working visit since assuming appointment as the RBAF Commander.

After receiving an honourary salute, the RBAF Commander inspected a parade led by 700 Major (U) Mohammad Khairul Pehin Datu Indera Setia Dato Paduka Seri Hj Sulaiman, which comprised of permanent staffs of Defence Academy and the officer cadets.

The visit then continued with a briefing and a tour around the Command and Staff College, the Leadership and Management Centre and the Officer Cadet School (OCS).

The Commander visit to the academy concluded at the OCS dining hall with a speech by Commandant Defence Academy Colonel Hj Abd Hadi Hj Saim, a presentation of commemorative memento, a doa led by 16979 Lance Corporal Pg Hj Kamarul Sarip Pg Haji Serpudin and the signing of a parchment.

In his speech, the Commandant of the Defence Academy Hj Abd Hadi reiterated the importance of discipline and training, getting the basics right and the effectiveness of training.
