Saudi Arabia hires firm to provide biometric information for visas
BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN
SAUDI Arabia Ministry of Foreign Affairs has contracted international specialised companies to take all the necessary measures for obtaining biometric information for all visa applicants who wish to enter the country.
A statement from the Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia yesterday said the biometric information requires fingerprints and digital face photographs of the applicants.
This includes those who plan to perform the Umrah and the Haj, before the visas are issued.
One of the companies which will be operating in Brunei Darussalam is VFS/Tasheel International Company.
It will be located at the PGGMB Building on Jalan Elizabeth II in the capital.
The statement said that the VFS/Tasheel International Company shall play a major role in obtaining biometric information such as fingerprints and digital face photographs for visa applications.
“This procedure is intended to minimise the waiting time for all arrivals at entry points to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia,” it said, adding that it was also to improve performance through providing high level services to people applying for visas.
