A 27-member delegation from Thailand’s senate paid a courtesy call to Brunei’s Legislative Council building yesterday.

Led by deputy secretary-general of the senate, Wirarat Atidaedya, the delegation will be in the Sultanate for a four day working-visit. Wirarat held a brief meeting with Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Pekerma Jaya Dato Paduka Hj Judin Hj Asar, secretary to the cabinet minister’s council and Clerk I to the Legislative Council.

During the meeting the duo exchanged views on ASEAN integration at the parliamentary level.

The delegation was then briefed on the functions and role of Brunei’s Legislative Council and the Department of Councils of State.
