Last night’s Pelangi Awards ceremony was the fifth held and since its initiation, few Bruneians artistes were able to use their accomplishment at the award show as a stepping stone to be further recognised regionally and internationally.
International platforms include the ABU TV Song Festival 2012 in Seoul Korea and Anugerah Planet Music 2013 Singapore.
The awards show, which was organised by Pelangi FM, serves as a form of reward and recognition from Pelangi FM, RTB to local artistes, composers, lyricist, musician, producers and vocalists who are active in Brunei music scene.
The show is held bi-annually to enable the artist to produce high quality composition.
