PWD repairs Muara water pipeline damaged by landslide

THE Department of Water Services, Public Works Department (PWD) would like to apologise for the water disruption in Muara on January 23.

In a statement, the PWD said the affected areas include Muara Town, Kg Serasa, Kg Kapok and Kg Sabun.

Continuous heavy rain several days ago caused a landslide at Kapok Mile 15 Reservoir damaging a major pipeline supplying water to the affected areas.

Repairing the damage took several days as the location was hard to reach. The repairs were completed on the morning of January 29.

The department is continuously monitoring the situation to ensure the water flow will not be disrupted again.

The PWD would also like to express its appreciation to the public for their understanding and patience with the inconvenience caused during the course of pipeline reparation.
