Donations pouring in for Tutong flood victims

DONATIONS for flood and landslide victims were received by Tutong District Office at the District Emergency Operations Centre, Tutong, last Wednesday.

The flood relief was donated by the Indian Chamber of Commerce, Tutong, Syarikat Haji Ismail dan Anak-Anak and PHA Bakar bin Jambol Petrol Station.

On hand to accept the donations was Tutong District Officer Wardi Hj Mohd Ali. 

The Tutong District Office in a press release said the donations would go towards easing the plight of the flood victims.

Recent floods in the district have affected more than 900 homes in Mukim Tanjong Maya, Mukim Rambai, Mukim Ukong and Mukim Lamunin.

Also present at the ceremony were Acting Assistant Tutong District Officer Hj Haizul Rizal Hj Yahya and senior officials from the district office.

The Tutong District Office will be receiving more donations for flood and landslide victims on Wednesday, February 5, at the residence of the Tutong District officer.
