BRUNEI International Airport partially opened its baggage handling and check-in systems at the new departure check-in hall.

Royal Brunei passengers on selected flights will now be required to check-in at Row A and/or Row B at the new departure check-in hall, according to a press statement from the Brunei Economic Development Board (BEDB) and Department of Civil Aviation (DCA) at the Ministry of Communications.

Passengers are advised to refer to the flight information display panel or approach the Royal Brunei flight information counter for check-in details.

With the partial opening of the new departure hall, selected sections of the existing departure check-in hall will be closed for renovation from January 22 onwards.

However, the restaurant, coffee shops and other amenities at the airport will continue to be accessible and in operation until further notice.

Passengers are reminded to observe the safety rules and directional signs that have been placed around the airport.

Meanwhile, the Brunei Economic and Development Board and the Department of Civil Aviation sought the cooperation of passengers and other airport users during the Airport Terminal Modernisation Project.

“(We) apologise for any inconvenience and discomfort while these works are being carried out,” they said.
