PANAGA Primary School in Seria will reopen this Monday for students in Years Two to Six, the Ministry of Education (MoE) said in a press statement yesterday.

However, preschoolers and Year One students of the school will only commence classes on January 15, the ministry added.

The primary school has been closed since January 4 due to heavy flooding.

It was previously reported the floodwater level in the school had reached 0.4 metres, soiling classrooms in mud, debris and earthworms.

The ministry temporarily relocated 340 students from Year Two to Six at Lumut Secondary School to ensure they would still be able to attend lessons during the clean-up of Panaga Primary School.
