A FLOATING jetty is now open to passengers departing and arriving from Bangar, Temburong along Jalan Residency.

The $236,000 project was completed as part of the 10th National Development Plan, according to a press release from the Tourism Development Department, Ministry of Industry and Primary Resources (MIPR).

The jetty aimed to improve tourism infrastructure and aid the safety of passengers between the districts.

In the press release, the department urged boat operators and passengers using the floating jetty to be aware and mindful of the safety instruction posted at the jetty.

The statement added that MIPR seeks their cooperation in maintaining the cleanliness of the jetty.

Taking around 21 months, the project was implemented by the Technical Services Department of the Public Works Department, Ministry of Development.
