A MAN found dead at Jalan Roberts on Friday was believed to have died from “falling while walking”, said a spokesperson from the Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) yesterday.

The 54-year-old man, identified as Wahab Tahir from Tutong district, was in the capital with his wife when he complained of abdominal pain.

Wahab had excused himself to visit the restroom while his wife waited at the Yayasan Sultan Hj Hassanal Bolkiah Shopping Complex.

According to the police, he was later found unconscious at Jalan Roberts, with blood coming out of his left ear.

Upon their arrival, paramedics confirmed Wahab had died at the scene and was later brought to the Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha (RIPAS) Hospital morgue for further examination.

A pathologist confirmed the cause of death was bleeding in the head caused from the fall, said the spokesperson. No foul play was suspected.
