BRITISH nationals living in Brunei Darussalam are advised to submit their passport applications to Her Majesty’s Passport Office in the United Kingdom.

The British High Commission in a statement said that from Dec 10 onwards the application process for passports will be centralised and no longer processed at the hub in Hong Kong.

“This important change follows reviews by the National Audit Office and is designed to achieve economies of scale, greater security and consistency in decision making,” it said.

All British passports have enhanced sophisticated security features designed to reduce the likelihood of identity theft and passport fraud.

Further information required for passport application can be found at the website,

Applicants will be required to send their applications to the Passport Customer Service Centre in Liverpool.

There will be no change to the processing times.
