Suspects in Sg Hanching theft cases charged

THE Criminal Investigation Department, Royal Brunei Police Force captured three foreigners involved in a housebreaking case that occurred on December 5 around Kg Sungai Hanching, Jalan Muara.

In a press statement issued yesterday, the police said they managed to recover stolen items from the victims.

All three suspects were brought to court yesterday and were charged with offences under Section 395 and Section 411 Criminal Penal Code, Chapter 22, the statement added.

Following the hearing, the court ordered the three suspects to be remanded for two weeks for further investigation.

“The investigation was carried out because they are believed to be involved in a number of theft cases that took place last September 2013.

“The police force is still searching for more suspects,” said DSP Pg Hj Abdul Salam Pg Hj Abdul Ghani, head of the Public Relations Unit, RBPF.
