HRH at ASEAN-GCC meeting in Bahrain

HIS Royal Highness Prince Mohamed Bolkiah, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade (MOFAT) who attended the recent 3rd ASEAN Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Ministerial Meeting in Manama, Bahrain, said that despite the two regions not formally meeting since 2010, activities within the private sectors have increased.
He also encouraged the two secretariats from ASEAN and the GCC to continue working on the action plan.

The meeting was co-chaired by His Excellency Shaikh Khalid Bin Ahmed Bin Mohamed Al Khalifa, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Honourable Dato’ Sri Arifah Hj Aman, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia.
After the meeting, a joint press statement was adopted and a joint courtesy call made on His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa Bin Salman Al Khalifa, the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Bahrain by His Royal Highness before attending a lunch hosted by His Highness Shaikh Salman Bin Kahlifa Al Khalifa, Adviser to His Royal Highness the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
