THE Ministry of Education (MoE) launched its Tutong edition of Student Entrepreneurship Development Expo (SEDEX) yesterday.
Deputy Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office Dato Paduka Hj Ali Hj Apong launched the expo which showcased and promote the products of students at primary, secondary, sixth form centres, private schools and institutions of technical and vocational education.
Among the products promoted includes painting, crafts, design and healthy food.
In her welcoming address, Acting Director of Examinations Hjh Kamlah Hj Daud, who was also the chairman of SEDEX Tutong, said that the expo is expected to become a platform for schools to guide and inspire interest in entrepreneurship among students.
The ministry hopes that the event would help enhance the creativity of their students, and that their creativity would also be centred on modern technology instead of just tradition or craft-oriented. The expo also raised money for the victims of Typhoon Haiyan and Bohol earthquake in the Philippines.
