Sabah police arrest Bruneian in 10kg drugs case

SABAH police detained a Bruneian after seizing about 10kg of methamphetamine worth RM2.4 million ($1 million), Malaysian National News Agency Bernama reported yesterday.

The Sabah police also confiscated three cars and a motorcycle, all registered in Brunei, and valued at RM650,000 ($253,203).

According to the report, the 35-year-old Bruneian was also being sought by local authorities for past criminal offences.

The Bruneian was arrested during a raid of a house in Taman Nelly, Inanam in Sabah.

Another 32-year-old man was also nabbed in connection with the case, the report added.

Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) Assistant Director Pg Hjh Masnah Pg Hj Damit told The Brunei Times that they were aware of the case.

However, she said the bureau was waiting for information from their Sabah counterparts.
