His Majesty sends greetings to Cambodian leaders

HIS Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam yesterday sent congratulatory messages to His Majesty King Norodom Sihamoni of Cambodia and Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padel Techo Hun Sen, as well as the government, on the 60th anniversary of Cambodia’s Independence Day.

In the message, His Majesty expressed appreciation for the warm and close relations enjoyed by the two countries and looked forward to cooperating with His Majesty King Norodom Sihamoni on strengthening ties in the coming years for the mutual benefit of the Brunei and Cambodia.

His Majesty also thanked the Cambodian prime minister for the close ties enjoyed by the t wo countries, and hoped to strengthen these excellent bilateral and international relations in the future.

His Majesty also said it was a great pleasure working with Hun Sen during Brunei Darussalam’s ASEAN chairmanship and looked forward to continuing efforts in enhance regional cooperation between the two countries.

His Majesty extended his best wishes for King Norodom Sihamoni’s good health and happiness as well as his kindest regards to Hun Sen and his family for a happy celebration.

Meanwhile, His Royal Highness Prince Mohamed Bolkiah, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, sent a similar congratulatory message to Hor Namhong, Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.

“I have much pleasure in sending my deepest respects to His Majesty King Norodom Sihamoni, together with my congratulations to you and the government and people of the kingdom of Cambodia on the 60th Anniversary of Independence Day,” said HRH said.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade also said he appreciated Cambodia’s support and valuable contributions during Brunei’s ASEAN chairmanship and looked forward to strengthening the friendship and bilateral cooperation enjoyed by the two countries.
