His Majesty receives envoys from four countries

His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam yesterday received letters of credence from four foreign envoys who have recently been posted to the Sultanate at Istana Nurul Iman yesterday.

His Majesty granted separate audiences to Philippines Ambassador Nestor Z Ochoa and United States of America Ambassador Daniel L Shields III, as well as Non-Resident High Commissioner of Lesotho Ntsebe Kokome and Non-Resident High Commissioner of South Africa Thamsanqa Dennis Mseleku.

Ochoa, 56, previously served as the Commander of the National Development Support Command from the Armed Forces of the Philippines.

Shields III, 48, previously served as the director at the Office of Mainland Southeast Asia, Bureau of East Asian and Pacific Affairs under the US State Department.

Meanwhile, Kokome concurrently serves as the High Commissioner of Lesotho to Malaysia. She previously served as the principal secretary at the Ministry of Education and Training and will be based in Kuala Lumpur.

Mseluku, 49, is also serving as the High Commissioner of South Africa to Malaysia.

He previously served as the director-general of Health and is based in Kuala Lumpur.
