Sheraton hosts healthy cooking demo

SHERATON Utama Hotel held a cooking demonstration for International School Brunei (ISB) on Monday in an effort to instil healthy eating habits among the younger generation.
Demonstrating his culinary skills to 70 ISB students, the hotel's in-house chef, Chef Faisal, taught students how to prepare a wide range of simple and healthy dishes, which included vegetable sandwiches, a fresh green salad and a flavourful fruit salad.
The students were accompanied by their teachers and parents during the event, which was held at the hotel's Poolside Terrace.
Chef Faisal also briefed the teachers, parents and students on the importance of fruits and vegetables in maintaining a healthy diet. During the demonstration, some students were invited to sample food prepared by the chef.
Earlier this month, Sheraton played host to a similar event for ISB's Year 3 students.
Chef Mahmoud Elsayed of the award winning Al Nafourah restaurant, Le Meridien Kuala Lumpur, treated the students to a variety of Middle Eastern speciality dishes.
