Hangout With 30 Street Vendors At Skatedium

Happenings 1 minute, 7 seconds

HANGOUT is back with its fifth edition and this time around, there are 30 street-inspired local small-medium enterprises (SMEs) joining, selling items ranging from apparels to board sports equipment.

Taking place today at the Skatedium from 10am to 9pm, few of the familiar labels include Lagenda Clothing Co, Belait-based Smell the Street and Stain BN.

Other highlights include long-boarding and in-line skate clinics that will be hosted by two participating vendors, Street Brigade and Road Crash Skate respectively.

In addition, Stain BN has invited guests from Malaysia who will lead a graffiti demonstration.

Put together by Kraytionco, local boutique owner Rahmat Jamil shared with The Brunei Times that the event is to create awareness on the businesses as well as to capture the target market.

“Do take the opportunity (to drop by) because we do not know if something like this will ever resurface again in the future,” he added.

Amir Noor, a long-boarding enthusiast, commented that the event is a good way to promote the street scene in the sultanate. “It helps to gather everyone at one spot,” he continued.

He also said those who prefer a ‘relatively chilled, passive sport’ should join their session.

Furthermore, there are six food vendors selling a variety of quick bites for everyone to try.
