LEARN diabetes risk factors and preventive measures in a fun way during a roadshow that is taking place at the ground floor atrium of Freshco today.

Aside from the educational exhibits, visitors can go for free health screenings or join activities like Grocery Tour that teaches participants how to read nutrition labels and pop quizzes, which grants meal vouchers at Gohan Sushi.

Furthermore, there will be a free Zumba session that will be held at 11.30am and 4pm.

The main highlight will be the Fight Diabetes Race, where a team of four will compete with one another by completing tasks under a given time. The winning group will bring home a one-night stay at Venice Lodge.

Co-organised by the supermarket and Health Promotion Centre alongside Healthy Go and Lift in BN — two groups of medical students from Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) — the event aims to encourage healthy lifestyle.

Mohammad Noor Adli Hj Souyono, a UBD undergraduate, shared that they aim to assess the risk factors through changing diet. “It starts with education,” he asaid.
