FAST, efficient, productive and reliable — these are just some words that describe the recently LabelWorks LW-Z900FK industrial label maker from Epson.

The label maker has been engineered to help installers and maintenance workers complete labelling tasks quickly and easily.

Lightweight, compact and portable, it features a rugged design and protective hard case which prevents damage from drops of 1.2m.

Thanks to the fastest print speeds on the market and with unique built-in Epson designed technology, such as Pick and Print, Drop-Stop and Mix-length functionality, the label maker can boost efficiency and productivity of every worker in any industrial environment.

A handle ensures the unit can be easily attached to a tool belt or storage hook for greater on-the-job portability, or simply attach magnets to the back of the unit for hands free use.

With technology designed for efficiency, the exclusive drop-stop feature ensures that once the label is printed, it remains connected to the label maker, rather than falling to the floor, and remains there until you need it.

Meanwhile, unique Pick and Print features allows for another label to be printed immediately after the previous one is printed and picked off.

The label maker can also use up to 50 different label lengths in one print run which can all be printed within a single job.

Its automatic cutter can also be set for full or half cut labels, both with back split tapes allowing swift, easy unpeeling before sticking — which is much less effort compared to a manual cutter!

Not forgetting its convenient and time-saving features, it can display automatic templates when required, to minimise errors ensuring that efficiency and productivity are improved.

Hot keys also ensure shorter data entry time with easy-to-use dedicated template direct access keys for general ID labelling, punch block labels, patch panel or block 66 labels, mix length label strips, cable flags and self-lamination overwraps.

With the Epson label editor, the label makers allow users to easily use more advanced labelling functions as well as download label designs from a PC directly to the unit. For hands-free use, simply attach magnets to the back of the unit and position it conveniently around your workspace for hands free use.

The LW-Z900FK also works with a wide range of tapes including, cable wrap, heat shrinking tube, magnetic, die-cut, glow in the dark, reflective, heat resistant and strong adhesive. It also makes use of continuous tape lengths of up to nine metres and up to seven different tape widths from 4mm to 36mm. To minimise waste and maximise efficiency, it can reduce front and back label margins to just 1mm to cut down on tape waste and save money. It can also store up to 100 label patterns in its memory.

The highly productive label printer can print up to eight tapes on a single charge with AC adaptor 220/240V, that is included as part of bundled accessories which helps keep total cost of ownership low. Additional Li-ion battery is also available as an option.

The heavy duty LW-Z900FK is being sold at Concepts Computer for $668.
