Baiduri Bank’s The Green Festival 2016, which was launched last night at the Jerudong Park Amphitheatre, can serve as a venue for local businesses to gain exposure.

Baiduri Bank’s CEO Pierre Imhof said the three-day event don’t only aim to promote a healthy lifestyle but also to support local business.

“We have invited a variety of vendors to participate in our largest outdoor roadshow to date falling under the healthy food and beverages, personal fitness to lifestyle vendors,” he said.

The Krema Cafe’s owner Muhd Hafiz Hj Mahmud decided to join the event to expand his client base. He also wants to inform more companies that they can now provide their services at corporate events.

“We used to only operate at the cafe but now we’re going mobile and plan to do more corporate events. Baiduri is one of the biggest banks in Brunei and I believe that this event will be able to attract a high number of people,” he said.

The owner of fitness studio Bounce and Cycle joined the event to encourage more people to try out the studio’s spinning classes.

“We’ve never done any marketing before except on social media, everything was through word of mouth. This is a great opportunity to get out of the studio and advertise ourselves to the public,” he said.

A representative from On The Go Juice said being a newcomer to the business, the event provides an excellent platform to not only gain exposure but also to meet with customers.

“We only started in August and so far the response has been excellent and hopefully through this event, we will be able to get more customers,” she said.

The festival was launched by Minister of Education Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Indera Pahlawan Dato Seri Setia Hj Suyoi Hj Osman. The Green Festival is open to the public until tomorrow.
